Building Refurbishments and Repositioning

Oblik works alongside property funds in assessing under performing properties within their portfolios. We then create design and construction solutions for both Facade and Interior in order to unlock the building's future potential and often redefine the original function of the existing internal spaces. This has been highly successful in activating vacant buildings and reintroducing them into the commercial and retail rental markets.

New Builds

Oblik works alongside Engineers and Project Managers to create innovative small build structures. Currently, this method has predominantly been used in activating unused external spaces in corporate office parks. These designs include coffee shops, and office outbuildings, which add dimension to the once unused space and offer additional meeting spaces and promote social engagement.

Space Planning and Interior Architectural Design

A secondary service that has stemmed from building refurbishments is space planning, design and fitout of new office and retail spaces. A fundamental element of the interior design process, this starts with an in-depth analysis of how the space is to be used. It also considers the purpose of spaces and its users. Oblik develops budget conscious designs that are able to define beautifully curated spaces which cater to the requirements of each client.

Design and Construction Interventions

Oblik has recently participated in a number of architectural interventions, whereby otherwise forgotten building elements are activated through design in order to maximize the usability of the space. This service aspect takes shape in the form of Basement and Building facade entrances, corporate and Retail Park upliftments and structural pop ups, to name a few recent projects.
